Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS)
The aim of TBS is to allow children to live safely without intensive care, while maintaining their current home placement, or transition to a less restrictive environment.
Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) is a supplemental program to an ongoing Specialty Mental Health Service, such as Outpatient Therapy. TBS interventions are intensive, short-term, home or placement-based, and are designed to utilize a youth’s strengths as resources to turn around undesired behaviors. Trained behavioral coaches teach the youth and their caregivers effective coping skills and mood regulation techniques in a strength-based, individualized, short term and culturally sensitive manner. Youth aged 0-21 are eligible if they have Full-scope Medi-Cal and meet medical necessity criteria. Therapeutic Behavioral Services-Intellectual and/or Developmental Delays (TBS-ID) is provided by behavioral coaches who demonstrate expertise working therapeutically with clients with intellectual or developmental delays/disabilities and their families.
Our Services Include:
- Behavior Intervention
- Collateral (parent coaching)
- Case Management
