The School Linked Services (SLS) program offers a well-designed model for the delivery of coordinated and effective mental health services on school campuses and in their communities for children, youth, and their families. Mental Health Therapists and Case Managers provide services primarily in the school setting, although services may be accessed at clinic, home, and community agencies as necessary. Services are individualized and tailored based on each child’s strengths and needs. Through these services children and parents develop better coping skills and become more resilient; in turn decreasing behaviors at school, increasing grades and attendance, and reducing mental health needs.
