"Family Linkage supplies understanding, support and education to the challenges of being a foster parent. I feel because of their dedication and guidance there is a greater chance for a win-win experience for everyone involved." Juliette Hubbs, Foster Parent.

I think Family Linkage is a very great program and has provided me with excellent opportunities like helping me with a trip to San Diego (to view Colleges) where I will be attending college this fall. Family Linkage has helped me strive in life, I have been in Family Linkage for 7 years and my social worker is really great." Ashley Gryczka, former foster child.

"I had lost all faith in social welfare systems until Family Linkage came along. I am incredibly grateful for everything Family Linkage has done for my nieces, especially their Social Worker. Every time I have come to the office, Family Linkage radiates a warmth, a caring, a concern. Family Linkage social workers go above and beyond to make sure kids get what they need." Becky Priel, Aunt.

MY HELPER - RCS
13-Year-Old

Without this person I would fail
This person is a female
We meet once a week
So to each other we can speak

With my problems she helps me
So the safer I can be
I can ask her almost anything
She will give me an answer to her
best knowing

For me she has never been late
And after we talk I feel great
Kirsten is this person's name
And therapy is her game.

WHAT I LEARNED
- Non-Public School Student

I learned that having fun isn't the only important thing in school. My education is very important in jobs, living, and my whole life. Some of the fun things were learning more about Martin Luther King Jr., and I liked doing the maps globes, and graphs. The life science was easy, but fun and educational.

I mostly liked the fun stuff like the car wash, because it was crazy and we learned a new way how to use teamwork. Also when everyone was good at the car wash, we got rewarded for it. I liked how some days in ILS, we could just talk about important issues. I remember one specific time that we got on a gang topic, so we stopped reading and started talking about gangs and why we have them. That was a good day because no one got out of hand and no one got sent to TR and everyone joined the conversation.

The only real irritating thing about this school is that when we do something bad, we get our name on the board. I think that is a little too young for us. Maybe we should have different ways to handle it. Well, I think this school has a really good system with dealing with kids, so I guess I'm saying I appreciate everything.
