Rebekah Children's Services Family Linkage Program are experts at providing an array of services geared to supporting children and families through the adoption process. With over 24 years of experience in foster care and 9 years in adoption, we are well qualified to meet the needs of our foster and adoptive families.

We currently have the capacity to service families in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey, San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa and Merced counties.

Family Linkage welcomes families who are of any gender, religious belief, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and culture to join our program. Our families can consist of single parents, couples, spouses, or partners.

We have a firm belief that our parents are experts at parenting and should always be treated with the utmost respect. Family Linkage is here to support not only the child but also the adoptive or foster family, and biological family throughout the placement.

• Our parents are given pre-certification training and 12 hours of annual training.
• Frequent consultations with staff.
• 24-hour telephone support and respite child care.
• A monthly allowance for care of the child.
• Referrals for additional support services.

What does it take to adopt?

• Reside in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa or Merced county
• Over the age of 21
• Own or rent a home with adequate space for a child
• Be financially stable enough to support a child (the monthly stipend typically does not cover all of a child's needs)
• Pass a fingerprint clearance covering the Department of Justice and Child Abuse Index (or qualify for an exemption)
• Be ready to work as a team for the benefit of the child
• Understand that parenting will be one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences in your life
