2017 Pop a Cork Benefiting the Rebekah Culinary Academy

  Published on 2017-06-13

On Thursday, March 30, 2017 we hosted the Third Annual Pop-a-Cork Celebration benefiting the Culinary Academy. Our guests will enjoy a special selection of culinary delights prepared and served by our students, sample award winning wines, and listen to live music Leal Vineyards in Hollister, CA. Funds raised this evening allowed even more students to attend our ten-week program, earn their Food Handlers Certification, and position themselves for future success.

Please join us in supporting our 4th Annual Pop-a-Cork Reception benefiting the Culinary Academy on Thursday, March 29th at the beautiful Sycamore Creek Vineyards in Morgan Hill. The evening will include sampling culinary delights prepared by our students, sipping wines from Leal Vineyards, and live jazz music in the gorgeous winery setting. Many youth in our community struggle to fulfill their dreams of becoming independent, self-sufficient adults. They face challenges such as poverty, mental health issues, and involvement in the foster care and/or juvenile justice systems. The Culinary Academy at Rebekah Children’s Services is committed to helping the disadvantaged youth in our community overcome these obstacles and improve their lives through its no-cost, supportive, vocational arts training program.
