Festival of Trees 2008 - "Candy Cane Lane" A Premier Dinner featuring a Live Auction Will Raise Holiday Spirits and Support for Community Programs
Rebekah Children's Services will host their 6th Annual Festival of Trees ushering in the Holiday Season with the magic of lavishly decorated, one-of-a-kind, themed Christmas Trees on display at the Morgan Hill Community & Cultural Center on November 21, 2008. The Live Auction and Dinner will be a festive affair beginning at 5pm and ending at Midnight. There will be approximately 20 beautifully decorated trees for auction, a sprinkling of table-top trees, unique wreaths, a silent auction and many delightful holiday items for sale.
All proceeds from this year's event, themed "Candy Cane Lane", will directly support RCS' Adoption and Foster Care Services.
Recent studies demonstrate that more than half of California's 80,000 foster children remain in the system for two or more years and 17 percent for more than three years. About 5,000 foster care children reach the age of 18 and are termed out of the system--set loose in the world--without reuniting with their families or ever having experienced a permanent home.
Rebekah Children's Services holds the belief that all children deserve a loving, nurturing and permanent home. With the core belief that every child deserves a family, RCS has been providing Foster Care services for over 20 years.
Adoption is a service that naturally evolved from this dedication. RCS specializes in the development of permanent families - through adoption, relative care, or other - for California's foster care children aged 0 to 18, including hard-to-place sibling groups.
Rebekah Children's Services carefully matches each child and family to ensure that this will be a life-long relationship. RCS offers extensive support services to all families before, during and after permanency has been achieved.
